Peace, Love and Gap

Gonna give it to the world. Peace, Love and Gap! (c) Common
Prior to this last year the Gap was letting me down. Their fits/sizes were all over, the jeans gave me the pseudo wood in front and the thighs just didnt give like i needed them to. The shirts sized M or L were extra baggy, the dresses were sack like and I was only purchasing accessories. Miraculously in the past 3 months, I’ve copped 3 different styles of jeans from them. In addition to a slew of tanks, tees and lipbalms.
I guess they heard my humble pleas as i begged for the clean mature feel of Gap’s basic fashion staples. Yes, I wanted that pant I could rock for a few years but, it wasn’t panning out for me prior to this. You see I have a confused body. Little booty, lotta thighs, broad shoulders and ample cleave. Mixed up right? So i’d find a bigger pant that fit my thighs and wouldn’t eventually tear but, the booty was baggy. Or, the top fit in the boobs but not the shoulders.
The Gap has always been in my rotation but, never the main store I’d check for clothing. Recently this has changed. I’d gotten a coupon for 40% off any regular priced item and thought…why not get some of those limited edition 1969 jeans?
The 1969 jean is limited edition as, it celebrating the anniversary of when the Gap first opened it’s doors. Some 35 years later Gap is still around and slugging it out with some of the worlds best jean brands.
I’ve always wanted to go to a store and get the custom fitting of jeans done and Gap has also answered that. Starting Aug. 8, The Gap will host a Find your favorite fit event with jeans as low as 39.95. In addition to finding your fave fit, if you purchase said jeans you get a coupon for itunes; so u can purchase the song that fits your jeans. cute right?
Oh and what jean did i most recent settle on? The Gap 1969 Always Skinny’s. I was initially shocked at the ease and comfort by which these glided on my legs. They fit perfect without several washings and come with rips in the knee and thigh area. I’m almost excited to find out how they’ll look over time…I also do believe i’ll be buying another pair soon. And you should too
